About Tim

Tim Griffin has dedicated his career to serving the residents of Carmel through public service. For 19 years, Tim has served as a firefighter for the Carmel Fire Department. Over six years ago, his commitment and passion for communicating with residents led to the additional role of Public Information Officer. Tim is also a regular guest on WISH-TV’s Life.Style.Live! Show reporting on health and fitness.

As an active resident of Carmel for almost 30 years, Tim experiences and understands resident needs on a daily basis. As a firefighter, Tim often sees people in their most vulnerable and challenging situations. That motivates Tim to be steadfast in making sure Hamilton County residents have the resources and quality of life they want and deserve, all while having low taxes. As a fiscal conservative, Tim will ensure that Hamilton County maintains their AAA Bond Rating -- currently the highest rating in the state.

As a Public Information Officer, Tim is focused on the importance of communicating with constituents. Tim believes that a collaborative, approachable, communicative Council, will keep Hamilton County heading in the right direction.

In addition to his professional roles, Tim is an executive Board Member for the Carmel Professional Firefighters Local 4444, Board President for Promote Carmel Inc, Hero Olympics participant, former Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish Council, and is the Master of Ceremonies for all Carmel Fire Department events.

Tim will take his experiences and interactions as a firefighter, volunteer, and Carmel resident to represent District 1 on the County Council to make a positive impact on Hamilton County for years to come.

Tim lives with his wife, Teresa, and five daughters --- Vera, Amelia, Stella, Maria, and Lainie. They live in east, central Carmel.
